As we are a small team we can only take on so many projects at a time, so to ensure we can make your project a success and give it the attention it deserves, we need to know specific details before we begin.
If you're not sure where to begin, the best thing to do is book in a website consultation with us.
Ready with your project? Let's do it :) Here's what we need:
Before You Begin
Prepare the detailsMake sure you know what it is you are trying to do so you can communicate it clearly to us. If there is anything that you will need to send us so that we can complete the project, make sure you have this ready before we begin.
Give us plenty of noticeAs a small team with a lot of regular active projects, we cannot guarantee we will be available to work on your project if the timeframe is tight. Depending on the scale of the project depends on how much notice will be needed. In general, give us at least 4 weeks.
Are you ready? If you are not quite ready to begin and just want to get a general idea of the project then let us know when you send through the project summary so we aren't trying to re-work our schedule to fit in your project.
Project SummaryIf you have an idea you would like to discuss, send us through a quick summary via email with the below details. Once we review your project we'll be in touch to book a phone consultation to get the rest of the project details and discuss with you.
Include these details in your email:
- A useful subject line that summarises the project
- Timeframe for delivery
- Budget range
- Brief description of your project in 3 - 4 sentences
- Bullet point list of the business goals of the project
- Bullet point list of deliverables
Budget RangeProject budgets vary greatly and we it's vital for us to know how much time and resources we will need to allocate to your project.
TimelineWhen do you need the project delivered? Be realistic and let us know if there are any absolute deadlines we need to be aware of. ASAP is not a real time!
Project GoalsThe most important part of a successful project is tying back everything we do to the underlying business goals. Sometimes goals are not always what they seem.
For example, if you want to promote an event, your might describe your goal as "promote event online", however this is not an accurate goal. Why do you want to promote it? What do you want to achieve by promoting it? Ticket sales? How many? To whom? By what date?
Knowing what success looks like is key to delivering that success.
DeliverablesThis is a list of items that will be delivered as part of the project. To deliver an accurate project estimate we need to have this locked down.
Here's an example of a deliverables list for a new event marketing:
- Poster design for Opera House event in A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 and DL
- Design and code event page on the website
- Create and send email marketing campaign
Phone ConsultationAfter we've reviewed your project we'll be in touch to book a phone consultation to get the rest of the details and make sure we've considered all options carefully so that the project will be a success.
Now let's make something awesome together!
